Everything Your Need to Know About Positive Psychology and More

Positive Psychology is a relatively new approach to mental healthcare and coaching which looks at what is right with people, it identifies when people are at their best and generates individual and group flourishing.

Workshop Content

You will be introduced to the leading thinkers and practitioners in the fields of pure science, youth development, individual therapy, life and career coaching and in organisational change.

The workshop will cover: assessments, mindfulness, character and signature strengths, personal virtues and values, meaning and purpose, and goal-setting; empathy, compassion and altruism; flow, forgiveness and gratitude. It will distinguish between hedonic and eudemonic gratification, and explain the importance of love and generosity.

Time permitting, we may discuss Positive Psychology diagnostic tools and interventions which work together with existing scales and therapeutic techniques, and we may introduce basic therapeutic and change programmes which are designed to work with individuals, groups, business and organisations, indeed, all parts of society.

Learning Outcome

As a mental healthcare professional, you will see opportunities for enhancing your practice, by blending in this evidence-based science, which concentrates upon enabling people, groups and potentially whole societies to find their sense of being, and to gain benign, fulfilling and happy lives.

Award

Upon successful completion of the workshop, each participant would receive:

  1. Two (2) Ongoing Professional Development (OPD) Points
